May Your Rewards Be Merry & Bright

This spirited season of giving is a great opportunity to brainstorm some festive ideas to reward your customers for their loyalty throughout the year.  Here are a few of our favorites for you to bounce around with your team as you launch your next campaign.

Highlight a Unique December Holiday

December 8: National Brownie Day

December 9: National Pastry Day

December 13: National Ice Cream Day

December 19: National Oatmeal Muffin Day

December 24: National Eggnog Day

Reward your loyalty members on one or more of these days with discounted or free items that coincide with each date.


Ugly Sweater Bonus

Loyalty members who make an in-store purchase while wearing an ugly sweater earn bonus points or leave the store with free stuff.


Treasure Hunt

Loyalty members who spy a strategically placed item on your store’s shelves (perhaps a snowman or a bell) earn bonus points.


Be Generous

Make your customers feel good about their purchases by donating a portion of profits on specific items to a charitable organization. Offer a discount on those items and match that discount as your donation amount.


Host a Happy Hour

Advertise your happy hour events, but keep them guessing as to what the discounts or specials will be. Customers won’t know exactly what will be on sale, but they love the idea of a discount or freebie, so they’ll stop by to to make sure they’re not missing out.


BOGO Holiday Treats

Group holiday items together in BOGO packages. For example, offer a peppermint mocha and a frosted cookie as a BOGO, to purchase either as combined or separate deals.  Your customers will appreciate being able to “buy” a surprise for their friends.


Your customers deserve to be rewarded, so keep them feeling merry & bright during this busy time of year by designing offers that honor this season of giving.
