The Tecmark Company Spotlight of the Month will begin with Hard Times Quick Stop, LLC and their General Manager, Tucker Mitchell:

q: What is your company name and some information about it?

a: We are Hard Times Quick Stop, LLC out of Shelley, Idaho.

q: Could you provide some background of your market?

a: We are located in a small town and we hope it stays that way. Though there are big brands coming in, our customers appreciate our brand and that we keep things, "Old School." 

q: What's your background and how did you enter the convenience store industry?

a: I spent most of my early life in California before moving to Idaho in the 11th grade. I got my start at Coremark Cooperated where I spent eight years there as a Dev consultant before eventually earning my MBA and catching the entrepreneurial spirit which eventually led me here with Hard Times.

q: How long have you been a customer of Tecmark?

a: We have been a customer of Tecmark since late 2020 and we officially went live in March of this year. 

q: What loyalty program(s) have you implemented while working with Tecmark and how it has been beneficial to you and your business?

a: We implemented the Custom Branded App and have had success with various clubs such as the Quarter Pound Cookie Club, Lunch Club, Breakfast Club, and Tobacco Loyalty as well as a points program that consists of: 

  • 1 point for every dollar of merchandise purchased inside
  • 2 points for every gallon of fuel purchased
  • For every 100 points accrued, the customer gets $3 off

q: Why Tecmark?

a: I met a Tecmark account executive at the NACS Show in 2018. At the time, I knew I wanted a custom loyalty program but wasn't sure if we had the resources and when we could implement it. Brent (Tecmark CEO) gave me a call during the 1st quarter of 2020 and things progressed from there. Since then, our staff has been very receptive to the program as well as our customers who love the app. On top of that, our competitor doesn't feature loyalty programs so we feel like we're in a great spot.
