q: What is your name and role in your company?
a: My name is Ben Reinhart and I'm the Vice President with a focus in the merchandising department.
q: Could you provide some background of your business? And what makes you unique to your community?
a: We operate 19 tobacco stores throughout the state of Indiana. We do not have any tobacco stores in our home city of Seymour, IN. However, in Seymour, we operate Ranger 3PL, a warehousing and logistics division. We also have a CO2 extraction facility in Seymour. Operating in multiple industries does make us unique to the community.
q: What's your story, and how did you get where you are today?
a: We started in the fueling/c-store industry back in 1938. At one time, we operated 99 stores throughout multiple states. Back in the early 2000's, we entered the tobacco store and warehousing/logistics industries. In 2015, we sold our convenience stores and completely exited the fueling industry.
q: How long have worked with Tecmark?
a: Approximately 18 months.
q: Tell us about your loyalty program currently, and how has it benefited your business?
a: Since we are in the tobacco business, we do have limited programs we run compared to convenience stores because of the limited non-nicotine products in our stores. However, we do run multiple tobacco-related programs focused on cigarettes, cigars, snuff, and various next-generation nicotine products, such as Zyn, e-cigs, etc. We are starting to see customer retention and increased sales due to the program.
q: Why Tecmark?
a: When we explored various platforms, Tecmark seemed to meet our needs the best. I think consumers continue to use their phones for more and more things. We do use the Tecmark app, and I believe it will be a great tool to help us promote items in our stores and drive sales growth.
q: What impact do you think loyalty will have on your business over the next three to five years?
